Trigon Secures EU Funding for Kalahari Copper Project in Namibia

Operated by Canadian E&P company Trigon Metals, the Kalahari project spans 765,000 hectares. A recent exploration drill hole has revealed high-grade copper and silver deposits.
With funding and expertise from UNDERCOVER’s 16 partners, Trigon Metals will expedite exploration at the Kalahari project over the next three years, while also contributing to the development of innovative, cost-effective technologies for deep mineral mining.
The collaboration fosters cross-border knowledge-sharing among UNDERCOVER partners from Finland, France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Namibia and Canada, while ensuring the sustainable mining and supply of critical minerals to meet the growing global demand.
In addition to its Kalahari project, Trigon Metals is also pursuing copper prospects at Namibia’s Kombat Mine. Recent drilling results, announced on January 23, 2025, have indicated the presence of high-grade deposits.
